Around 60 partners of the CEBioS programme, from 14 African countries, have attended the “CEBioS Summer School”, including six training workshops.

The workshops were about communication and awareness for biodiversity; the Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) on policy choices and activities linked to biodiversity and ecosystem services and their indicators; and the Clearing-House Mechanism (CHM; information exchange platform of the Convention on Biological Diversity).

The event has been launched by the Burundese Ministry for Environment, the Belgian Embassy in Burundi and the Belgian Development Cooperation through CEBioS.

The event has been a success and participants have been invited to start a CEBioS Alumni network, allowing them to further exchange and share their best practices.
