More info about the Event

A CEBioS delegation arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on 20 March 2024 to meet its various partners and present the new phase of the Programme.

The delegation comprised Tania D’Haijere, Thomas Wouters, Hilde Keunen and Erik Verheyen. The visit was also an excellent opportunity to strengthen institutional links with the Centre de Surveillance de la Biodiversité (CSB), based on the campus of the University of Kisangani (UNIKIS), and CEBioS, by jointly validating activities for the next 5 years. Other partners and donors include the Belgian Embassy, the Sustainable Development Department of the Ministry of the Environment (MEDD-DDD), the Ecole Régionale Postuniversitaire d’Aménagement et de Gestion Intégrés des Forêts et Territoires tropicaux (ERAIFT), the Institut Supérieur Pédagogique de Kinshasa (ISP-Gombe), and the European Union Delegation in the DRC.

CEBioS is pleased to be able to continue the collaborations established in the past, while trying to create new synergies between the players involved in nature and biodiversity conservation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
