News from the 2nd International Conference on Biodiversity in the Congo Basin

Chers Participants,

Comme vous avez pu le constater ces derniers jours, les invitations pour la conférence sont maintenant disponibles et vous ont été envoyées. Veuillez toutefois noter qu’il existe trois différentes listes :

• Une première liste (envoyée le 9 janvier 2022) avec l’ensemble des participants ayant validé leur participation avant le 15 décembre 2022. Celle-ci a été signée par le recteur de l’UNIKIS et suffit aux participants congolais (RDC) pour l’obtention de leur ordre de mission ;
• Une deuxième liste, ne contenant que les participants congolais (RDC), ayant validé leurs inscriptions plus tardivement (après le 15 décembre 2022). Cette dernière a été à la fois signée par le recteur de l’ UNIKIS et le notaire de la ville. À noter toutefois que la signature du notaire n’est pas une obligation pour eux puisque vivant sur le territoire congolais ;
• Une série de liste de 4 noms (un document pdf), pour les participants étrangers, ayant besoin d’une invitation signée à la fois par le recteur de l’ UNIKIS et le notaire de la ville.

Il est possible que les noms de certains participants congolais (RDC) n’apparaissent pas dans la deuxième liste, mais uniquement dans la première. Pas d’inquiétude ! Veuillez utiliser la liste dans laquelle votre nom apparaît.

As you may have noticed over the last few days, the invitations for the conference are now available and have been sent to you. Please note, however, that there are three different lists:

• A first list (sent on 9 January 2022) with all participants who validated their participation before 15 December 2022. This list has been signed by the rector of UNIKIS and is therefore sufficient for the Congolese participants (DRC) for obtaining their ‘Ordre de Mission’;
• A second list, containing only those Congolese participants (DRC) who validated their registrations after 15 December 2022. This list was signed by both the rector of UNIKIS and the town’s notary. It should be noted, however, that the signature of the notary is not an obligation for those living on the Congolese territory;
• A set of list of 4 names (a pdf document), for foreign participants, in need of an invitation signed by both the rector of UNIKIS and the notary of the city.

It is possible that the names of some Congolese (DRC) participants do not appear in the second list, but only in the first. Don’t worry! Please use the list in which your name appears.
