GTI Capacity Development Grant 2024

The GTI 2024 call for a Capacity Development Grant is now open until June 23rd, 2024.
GTI Capacity Development Grants support taxonomic research projects of Belgian scientists (only staff of RBINS & Meise Botanic Garden can be promotors) in eligible developing countries. Projects should focus on well-defined taxonomic groups that play an important role in ecosystem functioning and the delivery of ecosystem services, in order to support sustainable ecosystem management and sustainable livelihoods of local communities.
Importantly, research activities must always be accompanied by capacity-development activities and both components should address clearly identified taxonomic and/or curatorial needs of the partner country.

- Closing date applications: 23 June 2024
- Selected projects contacted: Beginning of July 2024
- Projects implementation: between 1 October 2024 and 15 October 2026
- Next call expected end 2026
