CEBioS – ‘Capacities for Biodiversity and Sustainable Development’ – is a programme financed by the Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGD) and housed at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS), where it belongs to the Operational Directorate ‘Natural Environment’ and more specifically the BioPolS group (Belgian Biodiversity Policy Support Group).  CEBioS assists partner countries of the Belgian Development Cooperation to implement the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) as well as other international agreements related to the sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity.
