En janvier 2026, CEBioS et l’Université de Parakou ont organisé deux grands ateliers de formation à Grand Popo (Bénin) dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre de la Convention sur la diversité biologique (CBD).

La mission a permis de nombreuses rencontres prometteuses avec des partenaires variés en RDC.

The CHM National Focal Point has been invited by the Ministry of Environment in Ghana to lead a training session on the migration of CHM websites from Bioland 1.0 to Bioland 2.0, including a key component on the CBD’s Online Reporting Tool (ORT).

CEBioS, in collaboration with the University of Antwerp and OBPE, co-organised a workshop in April 2025 to address human-wildlife conflicts in Rusizi National Park.

A constructive discussion took place on the continuous improvement of the GTI programme.

The meeting allowed to discuss shared objectives and explore avenues for enhanced collaboration.

Various projects occur in July 2024, involving VLIR-UOS, University of Burundi, University of Antwerp, the RUBICOM project, SECORES, EVAMAB, the ZACORES project and NGO Sana.

Preparation and update for CBD COP16

CETAF and the Institute of Natural Sciences are joining forces to organise the first europewide event to increase awareness around Taxonomy.

CEBioS is piloting and/or supporting a series of items, along with other RBINS colleagues.
